Thank you for your excellent Sept. 8 editorial “The cost of commitment in Iraq.” Like it or not, this war on terrorism is a war of civilizations. Finally we have a president who recognizes what is at stake.
I believe the American people understand this.
It’s too bad so many politicians and other Western nations prefer to hide under the covers. While Americans think three or four months is a long time, our enemies plan 20 to 30 years ahead.
