Melvin R. Bock, 93, of Ganges, MI, formerly of Chicago, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003 at his home. He was a past member of the Chicago Mason/Shiner’s Club. He was a graduate of the University of Chicago with a B.A. Degree and a M.B.A. Degree. He was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emmy in 1998; a brother, Warren; and a sister, Leona. Surviving are his daughter, Darilyn Bock of Ganges, MI and Chicago; brother, Vernon Bock of Chicago; a niece and nephews. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Home, 188 W. 32nd Street, with the Rev. Joel Jongerius Zuidema officiating. A graveside committal service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, 12:30 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Chicago. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Service at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the Mayo Clinic of Hospice of Holland.
