If you’re sick of flying out the door in a frenzy every morning, these tips from the October issue of Parenting could help you stay on schedule:
– Keep a little bag with all the essentials ready to go. Include money, keys, tissues and lipstick–and keep it in one place so it can be grabbed in a hurry.
– Never look in the mirror on the way out of the house. (Q note: An etiquette expert once told us that people should check themselves in the mirror before leaving. So, do you want to be on time or rethink the cleavage? Up to you.)
– Set a timer. When it goes off, everyone should know that they need to be by the front door, putting on their shoes.
– Forget setting the clocks ahead–everyone will get used to the new time too quickly. Set them all at the correct time.
