Denver’s Mile High City marker underwent an altitude adjustment Monday. Gov. Bill Owens dedicated a new plaque on the steps of the state Capitol–five steps, or 3 feet, lower than the old marker that denoted 1 mile above sea level. Experts said this new mile-high marker really is at 5,280 feet.
