A block west of Lake Ellyn and just northeast of downtown Glen Ellyn, this 11-room house at 629 N. Park Blvd. has English Tudor elements to its exterior, as well as details that evoke a Swiss chalet. Built in 1924, the house has lake views, a sunroom that the sellers converted for year-round use, a den and a wooded and rolling .38-acre lot. The house sold for above its asking price because there were multiple bidders. The sellers, who had bought the home in 1991 for $266,000, also remodeled the kitchen. The buyer was a Chicago lawyer who had been living elsewhere in Glen Ellyn. BY THE NUMBERS: Four bedrooms, three baths and two fireplaces in 2,440 square feet.
