It amazes me that in this lousy economy so many unions (waste haulers and teachers being the latest) have such unrealistic expectations. If each member of those unions were to question close friends about their experiences regarding pay and benefits over the last few years, they would likely find people with no jobs, pay cuts, miniscule or no raises, lost benefits and increased insurance premiums. There are lots of people in this country who would love to have a job, never mind the raises.
