Winnetka police have opened an investigation into funds that are missing from the Winnetka Golf Course, Winnetka Park District officials said Friday.
The Park District discovered a discrepancy in financial records Oct. 2 and called the police, said Liza McElroy, district director. Officials believe the money disappeared between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30, she said.
McElroy declined to say how much money was involved, and police could not be reached for comment.
