Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
There’s nothing like getting good air when you’re snowboarding. Now, there’s a board out there to help you fly. The T6, $600, is a half-pound lighter than most boards because it’s made out of aluminum honeycomb core (commonly found in helicopter blades) instead of the typical wood.
It’s made by Burton–whose engineers got some help from half-pipe guru Terje Haakonsen, according to Wired magazine.
And the T6 is high-tech: The base resists heat and friction (thanks to sintered-indium, whatever that is), and a layer of fiberglass increases response. Check out www.burton.com for more.
