What’s with the headlines on Phil Rogers’ columns? “Wild success story” and then “Marlins not deserving”?

The bitterness in the aftermath of the NLCS is unbecoming. First Rogers was blasting Bobby Cox for his use of Mike Hampton and Russ Ortiz in the division series. Now it’s Jack McKeon using Josh Beckett to win the series against the Cubs. At least he wrote about possible “overuse” of Kerry Wood and Mark Prior in the postseason by trusty Dusty Baker.

The honeymoon is over for Baker, but it’s time to give credit to the winners instead of the biased coverage we’ve been reading.
