Leonard Pitts’ argument is clever but ultimately flawed (and semantically dishonest). By renaming past bigotry “affirmative action,” he equates the two terms and says nothing more than that it’s OK to repay past discrimination with present and future discrimination, but against different people. With that, I do not agree.
