Sylvia Kampf, nee Slicer, died peacefully on Oct. 13, 2003, at St. Matthew Lutheran Home, Park Ridge, IL. Preceded in death by her husband, Carl; sisters, Alfhild Bathje, Alice Hinchliffe, Leonell Pearson and Lorraine Slicer; and brother, William H. Slicer Jr. A lifetime member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Maywood. Sylvia is survived by sisters, Phyllis Morris, Marigold Cole and Holly Rossi; numerous nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren. She is remembered as a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother. Services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Elm Lawn Memorial Park Chapel in Elmhurst, IL.
