In her Oct. 13 letter about the bill to ban “partial-birth” abortion, Kate Michelman, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, declares that she wants the government to stop playing politics with women’s “reproductive health.” She doesn’t get the fact that a seven-pound, genetically human and unique being, with a heartbeat, brain activity, toes and fingers–and often of a different gender than his mother–is not part of a woman’s reproductive health system.
