I am very sorry to see that R.C. Longworth is leaving the Tribune, even for such a worthy job as director of the Global Chicago Center. He wrote the most intelligent and lucid commentary on the Iraq situation of anyone currently in the media and I wish he weren’t moving on until the situation there is more stable.
He’s one of the few Perspective columnists whose work I regularly clip and save. What a loss for the paper.
