TO OUR READERS

The Tribune has determined that the Travel section article, “When visiting in Paris … ,” which ran Sunday, Nov. 23, was plagiarized virtually in its entirety. The person who submitted the article, Rajia K. Blank, a faculty member at a California high school, maintains that she “did not plagiarize anyone’s writing,” but offers no satisfactory explanation for the numerous virtually identical passages in her article and the 1994 book “French or Foe?” by Polly Platt. The Tribune apologizes to our readers and to Polly Platt. (The article has been deleted from the archive.)
