He’s not playing James Bond, and she’s not playing Bond’s girl.
British actor Clive Owen and sultry starlet Catherine Zeta-Jones have both denied rumors that they’ll be part of the 007 franchise, according to the World Entertainment News Network. Now Hugh Jackman is being tabbed as the favorite to replace Pierce Brosnan, who will finish his run when the 21st movie comes out next year.
Owen (“The Bourne Identity”) trashed reports that he would be the next Bond as “rumors.” “There’s a lot of [bull] in this game, and if you spend your time worrying about stuff that isn’t true, you’ll waste a lot of time and energy,” Owen said.
Meanwhile, Zeta-Jones’ rep shot down any hope of the “Chicago” star following in Halle Berry’s footsteps late last week.
