S. Kenneth Gore, 74, of Las Vegas, died December 2, 2003 at Nathan Adelson Hospice. Mr. Gore was born in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated Purdue University in 1951. From 1952 to 1972, he owned Jays Shoes, Inc., in Skokie and Highland Park, and then went back to his original profession as a pharmacist until 2000. He moved to California in 1982 and then to Las Vegas in 1994. He was a member of Bet Knesset Bamidbar Congregation and a Life Member of the City of Hope. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Einhorn Gore, who passed away in 1998. He presently is survived by his wife, JoAnn Oppenheimer Gore; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Rosanne Gore, and daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Michael Pollack all of Northridge, California; and brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Elly Gore of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is also survived by the in-law children of his present marriage, Adrian and Kenneth Dubow, of Miami, Florida, and Deborah Eden of Woodland Hills, California; brothers-in-law, Ed Krigel of Leawood, Kansas, Robert Oppenheimer, of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was predeceased by brother-in-law, Herbert Oppenheimer of Sherman Oaks, California; his sister-in-law, Irene Oppenheimer Kish, resides in Las Vegas, Nevada; his beloved grandchildren are Scott and Brian Gore, Aaron and Julie Pollack, Rachel and Brian Dubow, Ariel and Hannah Hershman. A memorial service was held today at King David Memorial Chapel in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, December 7, at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.), Skokie. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
