Dr. Robert A. Kaftan, Ph.D., suddenly, age 61. Beloved son of the late James J. and Margaret M. Kaftan; loving brother of Angela (Rex) McDowell and James R. (Janice) Kaftan; dear uncle of Joy, Kathy, Michael and Margaret; and great-uncle of Jimmy T., Bailey, Madison and Peyton. Dr. Kaftan was a professor and head of the English Dept. at Dominican University, River Forest, IL.
