Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
As a longtime Sox fan I’m already getting a sinking feeling for the 2004 season. It looks like Ken Williams is going backward.
First he hires a manager with no experience, then he can’t get roster players to sign and now he acquires Juan Uribe. Maybe it’s me, but it’s hard to watch a very dependable Tony Graffanino just be let go. Offering him $1.7 million for two years is an insult. Graffanino was always up to the task regardless of the situation.
These major changes were not needed. The Sox had a solid nucleus that now seems to be gone.
