Bastards! The “Average Joe” producers set up last night’s finale as a battle between a vacuous pretty boy and an average-looking, though rich and charming, underdog.
But instead of Melana choosing the happily ever after with fan favorite Adam, she chose Jason, undoubtedly blinded by his dazzling teeth. The faraway look in his eyes wasn’t reflecting deep thoughts of love but how little was going on upstairs.
It was a disappointing finish to what had been a surprisingly good series. Throughout the show, Melana seemed open to all sorts of guys with all sorts of flaws, but in turning down Adam, she broke millions of hearts.
“If I was the writer of this story, I would be with Melana right now,” Adam said.
We’d have written it that way, too.
