This is regarding the letter to the editor “Bush’s team” (Voice of the people, Dec. 5), by G. Vikre. As someone who opposes the Iraq war, I would like to answer Vikre’s question, “What have you done to boost the morale of our gallant men and women serving in Iraq?”
Every week, I send a package of books, candy, toiletries, sunglasses, etc. to our troops in Iraq. I get their names from booksforsoldiers.com, an organization started to support our troops by sending them books they can read on their downtime.
