The rumors were true: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are married, according to the Santa Barbara County clerk-recorder’s office in California.
The announcement caps a wild week for the actress and her rocker beau–a week that began with Paltrow announcing she is pregnant and ended with the happily married couple honeymooning in Mexico.
County officials confirmed that the couple applied for a license last Friday, and that appears to be the date they tied the knot in a short, secret ceremony that reportedly took place in a hotel suite and maybe featured Madonna as the maid of honor.
Madness.
At any rate, this is the first marriage for Paltrow and Martin. They expect the baby to be born next summer.
