This is in response to Melissa Romano’s letter to the editor. I am one of those who does not approve of same-sex marriage. As for the sitcoms that portray homosexual couples, I must say that there are many things portrayed on TV that our country could do without. For example, violence. The heavy amount of violence–most of it fictional–shown on television causes a desensitization to real violence. I wonder if the increasing number of homosexuals–most of them fictional characters–shown on television do the same thing for homosexuality.
