David Halprin, 92, longtime resident of Chicago, died December 7, 2003 in LaJolla, CA. He was the much loved husband of the late Mary, nee Stepansky; adored father of Rick (Robyn) and Judith (Mitchell Caplan); loving grandfather of Michael Davidson and Eden Halprin; fond uncle of Rhoda Snyder, Jeffrey Sheldon, Nancy (Lonnie) Scharf, Bernard (Elaine) Halprin; great-uncle of Edward and Joshua Scharf; youngest brother of the late Sarah Bricker, the late Alan Halprin, and the late Edward (Claire) Halprin; caring brother-in-law of the late Esther Goldman and William (Louise) Sheldon. Memorial Service followed by chiva at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Renaissance Hotel, 933 Skokie Boulevard, Northbrook.
