Anthony Basile, late of Hegewisch, Dec. 11, 2003. He is survived by his wife Evelyn, nee Telack; two children James Basile and Susan (Richard) Panfil; sister-in-law Violet (John) Defauw; five grandchildren Courtney Basile, Brooke, Rory, Ryan and James Draper. Preceded in death by his parents James and Dominica Basile; parents-in-law John and Pauline Telack; and sister-in-law Goldie Bergan. Services will be held Monday, Dec. 15, 9:15 a.m. from the Opyt Funeral Home, 13350 Baltimore Ave., Chicago to St. Anthony Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Visitation Sunday 2 to 9 p.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Anthony was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran serving in the CBI Theater, member of AL Post 369, East Chicago, IN, retired stereotyper with the Chicago Tribune. 773-646-1133 .
