Through 40 years of working in various U.S. cities, I have known a wide variety of men and women members of Opus Dei. I’m grateful that in reality I have found them straightforward, honestly trying to live the ideals they express. I have also witnessed their consistent serious effort to encourage individual inner freedom, helping many rise above susceptibility to even unintended intimidation.
