Pearl D. “Peggy” Suss, nee Dreebin, loving wife of Henry; mother of Lawrence “Lorry” “Larry” (Jeanine) Suss and Roberta “Bobbie” Horwitz; cherished grandmother of Scott (Mary Lou Sullivan) and Ken (Beth) Horwitz, Eric (Edita) Evans, Lara (Mark) Musick, Nichole and Suzanne Suss; adoring great-grandmother of Matthew and Nicholas Musick, Daniel Horwitz and Joshua Suss Horwitz; fond sister-in-law of Esther Schenk and Olga Lubowich. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Henry; brothers Henry (Frieda), Jack (Ann), Harry (Mary) Dreebin and sisters Leah (Jules) Bolshon, Rae (Alfred) Smith and Estelle (Sam) Miller; sister-in-law Margaret (Adolph) Rosenberg and brothers-in-law Louis Schenk and David Lubowich. Peggy was a graduate of John Marshall High School and attended Northwestern University Business School. She was employed at Albert Pick & Company as an executive secretary where she met her husband Henry. In later years she worked side by side with him in their drug stores both in Chicago and Highland Park. Extended family dinners, and acting as a family advisor were the joys of her life. She was a strong, principled and devoted person who kept friendships that surpassed 80 years and was a surrogate grandmother to all neighborhood children that would come to her door. Graveside service, Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, 2 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 500 N.
