James A. Hume, 71, died Dec. 14 in Holmes Beach, FL. He retired as a vice president after 35 years with Merrill Lynch in Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; sons, Robert Hume and Thomas (Shari) Hume; three grandsons; sister, Sally Mencimer.
