Almost every day your paper publishes articles regarding the recent flu epidemic. Shortages of the vaccine, deaths and the concerns of the elderly are just some of the headlines.
In all this I would like to take a moment and thank the Veterans Administration hospitals in the Chicago area. For as many years as I can remember, they have been offering their veteran clientele free flu shots. As a veteran myself for the last 10 years, I personally have received them as have countless members of my American Legion post.
