Gerald F. “Jerry” Murphy. Jerry passed away after a long illness, though like a true Cub fan, he steadfastly believed until the end that he would pull this one out too. Jerry is survived by his son Thomas (Deborah); his adored grandsons, Tim and Sean; and his dear godchildren, Mary Agnes, Kathy, Wally and Karli. Jerry joins his brother Joe, who preceded him and is missed by their brother Wally (Mary) and their sisters, Mary Catherine (Roy Hickey), Joanne (Chuck Planek) and Marguerite (Dennis Healy). Uncle Jerry will be missed by 15 nieces and nephews and their children. Visitation Sunday 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday 11:45 a.m. from the Robert J.
