Herbert Alfred Kutscha, age 81, of Gainesville, FL, formerly of Huntley and LaGrange, IL, passed away Dec. 17, 2003. He was born in Chicago, IL and was a retired manager for Joseph T. Ryerson & Company. Mr. Kutscha served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal for Company A 727th Amphibian Tractor Battalion, and was a member of the YMCA’s Men’s Club, the Indian Guides and Boy Scouts. He was also a member of First Congregational Church of LaGrange, IL where he was a moderator and deacon. Mr. Kutscha was a member of the VFW, he enjoyed swimming, gardening, his family, church and dogs. Survivors include his wife, Grace Kutscha of Gainesville, FL; daughter, Helen K. (Thomas II) Gyllstrom of Gainesville, FL; son, Herbert A. (Leigh) Kutscha II of Los Gatros, CA; grandchildren, Adam, Amber and Michelle Kutscha and Erica and Bryan Gyllstrom; and one great-grandchild, Donovan Andrade. He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter A. and Albert J. Kutscha. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 100 S.
