Florence M. Pondel, nee Abel, age 79, of Naperville, formerly of Chicago and Arlington Heights, IL, died Friday, December 19, 2003, at St. Patrick’s Residence, Naperville, IL. She was born August 21, 1924, in Chicago. Loving wife of the late Walter; beloved mother of Richard J. (Denise) and the late Michael; adored grandmother of Kristin and Michael; devoted daughter of the late Ralph and Emma Abel; dear sister of Lucille (Robert) Colie; fond aunt of many. Florence was employed by Wieboldt’s Department Store, Chicago, as a Credit Manager from 1970 to 1986. Visitation Tuesday, 9 to 10 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Residence, 1400 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL 60563. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s.
