Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

OK, with some gifts you can really get in the swing of the ol’ one-for-you-one-for-me thing. Probably not this one. And, truthfully, for me: Thanks, but no thanks when it comes to a Skybox. Still that doesn’t mean you might not know someone who would be ecstatic to have his very own personal vending machine at home — one that can stock up to 66 cans and 33 12-ounce bottles.

Maytag’s 57-inch-tall Skybox ($499.99 for the vending machine, $68.99 for the base, both online at amazon.com before Feb. 1; after that date, the entire unit will be available at Home Depot stores) comes in black and platinum and can be customized with professional and college team logos ($38.99).

Then, with just a push of a button — no coins or cash needed — drinks are served. (Just think: If you position it right next to the couch, that Mr. Potato will be in spud heaven.)

If you want to give a Skybox for the holidays, you can print out a gift certificate when you buy it online and present it all dressed up in gift-giving finery to let that someone know what will be coming his way.
