Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
I have a very simple and effective method for stopping this ridiculous game of one-upmanship celebrations after scoring an NFL touchdown (“Horn phones it in–TD catch,” Sports, Dec. 15). Of course, it would require some intestinal fortitude from the very same broadcasters, writers and commentators who are complaining about it. It’s simple: Don’t broadcast or talk or write about it.
These antics are all just self-serving plays for attention. If the broadcasting station switched its delay on when a touchdown appears eminent and refused to televise these stupid stunts, the players would stop making them. Also the league should not only fine such players but also suspend them without pay for their actions.
