Augusta Stone-Simnick, age 94, of Merrillville, IN, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2003 at the Towne Centre, Merrillville, IN. She is survived by her daughter, Marlene (late Norbert) Skzela of Highland, IN, son, Robert (Christine) Stone of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Carol (Mark) Schmidt, Linda (Bill) Kaminski, Bill (Carmen) Stone, Jeffrey (Angela) Stone and Susan (Doug) Ilardo; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Andrew, Brian, Amanda and Destiny; brother, Albert Karasch of Port Charlotte, FL; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husbands, Emil Stone and Larry Simnick. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN with Pastor Bassam Abdallah officiating. Interment Cedar Park Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. Augusta attended 1st United Lutheran Church.
