Jack White of the White Stripes was charged Monday with aggravated assault after that bar fight with Von Bondies singer Jason Stollsteimer in Detroit. White told police that he struck Stollsteimer in self defense.
The fight between the two singers broke out Dec. 13 at the Majestic Theatre Center, where both men were attending another concert. White, 28, faces anywhere from no jail time to one year in prison if convicted, Billboard.com reports.
The White Stripes will be in town next week to play a sold-out New Year’s Eve show at the Aragon “Brawlroom” with the Flaming Lips.
