John J. Krutilla died Dec. 22, 2003 at Provena St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1914, the son of John and Mary Vanyo Krutilla. Visitation for Mr. Krutilla will be Friday, Dec. 26, 2003 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Kankakee Chapel of Schreffler Funeral Homes with a Funeral Mass at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 at 10 a.m. A prayer service will be held Friday at 6 p.m. Memorials may go to Masses, St. Teresa Catholic Church or the St. Teresa Education Endowment. John Krutilla was married August 15, 1942 to Marie Mateychuk in Chicago. Together they had two children, a son John and Joyce Krutilla of Janesville, WI and a daughter Mary E. KrutillaLamb of Limestone; several grandchildren. Preceding him in death is his wife Marie, who died April 20, 2001.
