Mark Allan Leiter, 37, of Zion, died on December 21, 2003 at Condell Hospital in Libertyville. Born May 28, 1966, in Waukegan, he was a graduate of Maine East High School and was a member of the Zion Bible Church, Zion, IL. He coached youth athletics in Zion, including baseball and football and was an Awana leader at his church. Mark’s most famous saying was “Never Quit,” loving husband of Mary; and loving father of Andrew, Laura, Johnathan, James, Eric and Cathryn Leiter all of Zion, beloved son of Jo Farver of El Cajon, California and John Leiter of Zion; dear brother to David (Vicky) Leiter of El Cajon, California, Christopher Farver of San Diego, California, Laura (Anthony) Napoli of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Melissa (John) Karam of Alpine Valley, California; loving uncle to Deanna Leiter, Odette Karam, Jacob and Ricky Leiter and Jean-Pierre Karam. He was preceded in death by a brother, Justin Farver. Memorial service, Saturday, December 27, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Zion Bible Church, 2633 Emmaus Ave., Zion, IL with Pastor David Denlinger officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation Friday, December 26, 2003 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the CIB Bank in Zion, IL in care of the Leiter family.
