Howard E. Swenson, age 86, and one of the original residents of Park Forest since 1949, passed away at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights on December 19. He was the loving father of Kristen (Tom) Stulga of Florida, Russell (Mary) Swenson of Park Ridge, IL, Dean Swenson of Oregon and Kirk (Virginia) Swenson of Florida. Howard was preceded in death by his beloved wife Violet in 2001. He was the proud grandfather of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Howard had been a commercial artist, and had worked for several prominent advertising agencies in Chicago before retiring from the William Wrigley Company. He bravely served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lain-Sullivan Funeral Home in Park Forest.
