Frances “Betty” Parzych, nee Mataya, age 91, lifelong resident of McCook, died peacefully at her home on December 26. Beloved wife of the late Walter E.; loving mother of Walter Jr. (Phyllis), Joseph (Barbara) and the late Patricia Ann; proud grandmother of Debbi (Tom) Sheehan, Patti (Rich) Bluder, Judi, Courtney and Michael; cherished great-grandmother of seven; dear sister of Rose Ulyanich, Ann Hopkins and the late Kate, and Mary; fond aunt, great-aunt and friend to many. Betty was an avid Bingo player for many years. She was a former president and founder of the Lyons Twp. Democratic Women’s Club.
