Werner Straus, 92, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003 at Hallmark Retirement Home of natural causes. Dr. Straus achieved worldwide recognition as a biochemist at Chicago Medical School. He is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and will be missed by many friends and colleagues in the medical science and research communities.
