Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

This year, my parents and I coached a 5th grade volleyball team. This team was very big, 14 girls, and it was difficult to work with this many girls. Most of the girls had never played before so this would require a lot of work on developing their skills. We lost the first two games, and we thought this would be the forecast for the rest of the season.

It turned out to be just a fairly rocky start. After many hard practices, the team started to come around. Before we knew it, we were winning multiple games in a row. We were so proud of their accomplishments and their dedication. They worked harder as a team and turned themselves around. Before we knew it, the end of the year was sneaking up on us. We tied for first place in the league. In the tournament, we were upset in the second round by the third-place team. We could not have been any more proud of such a great group of girls. Teamwork and dedication can go a long way.
