I usually enjoy your profiles of the Democratic presidential candidates, but I have to say that I thought your recent profile of Wesley Clark (“The anti-war general,” Dec. 30) was biased.

First of all, you mention how ambitious he was and try to make it seem like a fault. Those who run for president must be full of ambition or else they would never run. Furthermore, I believe that you should not have focused so much on what Gen. Hugh Shelton and a few others said as their opinion is obviously laced with jealousy and conceit because Clark was a top performing general.

Again, I would like to say that I usually enjoy the Chicago Tribune but believed that you could have done better with your recent profile of Wesley Clark.
