Steven R. Schumann, age 54, beloved friend of Christine Suroski; loving son of Phyllis and the late Robert Schumann; fond brother of Gary (Gail), Debbie (Rich) Sheridan and Craig. Resting at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th Street where services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. Visitation Friday, 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service. Interment will be private in West Salem Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was a Ham Radio Operator and Antique Car Buff who also loved fishing. Worked as a technician for Illinois Bell/Ameritech for over 34 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. 708-425-0500.
