Del Rita Schwefer, age 77, of Lake Zurich for 50 years. Beloved wife of William “Bill”; mother of Bill (Melody), Leslie (Rick) Wendt; grandmother of Matthew and Lucas Wendt; sister of Bobby (Jack) Keller; sister-in-law of Patsy (Fred) Leydig, Meta (Bob) Reidel. Member of St. Peter UCC. She was a volunteer for many organizations including the USO, St. Peter UCC and Good Shepherd Hospital. Owner of Schwefer’s Bakery in Lake Zurich. Visitation at St. Peter United Church of Christ, 47 Church St., Lake Zurich, IL 3 to 8 p.m., Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated for the St. Peter UCC or Rainbow Hospice, 444 N. Northwest Hwy., Suite 145, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
