The ’80s have been in full retro vogue mode for some time, but now resurgence gets its own soundtrack.

Current acts such as Eve, Black Eyed Peas and Jason Mraz will offer their take on classics from the era on the “50 First Dates” soundtrack, due out Feb. 3.

“Dates” star Adam Sandler wanted an album of reggae-inspired ’80s covers to complement the film. UB40’s version of The Police classic “Every Breath You Take” will serve as the first single. Other interesting pairings include Ziggy Marley’s take on The Cars’ “Drive” and 311’s version of The Cure’s hit “Love Song.”
