Ethel Maxina Garret, nee Gharet, age 90, passed away January 4, 2004. Formerly of Grass Valley, CA was residing in Evanston, IL, to be close to her family. Past Noble Grand Ramona Rebekah Lodge #25. An artist and a Poetess, published “The Twilight Years”, a book of poems by Ethel Gharet Garrett. Did volunteer work and taught craft classes. Beloved mother of Laura (Leroy) Adams of Chicago, and Oliver Graham of Crescent City, CA, who preceded her in death. Proud grandmother of Rev. Mark (Kerrie) Adams of Evanston, Michelle (George) Morales of Willow Springs and Christopher (Patricia) Adams of Chicago; greatgrandmother of nine; dear sister of Marvin Gharet of Stanwood, Washington. Funeral service Wednesday 11 a.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd., at Old Orchard Rd., Skokie. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
