I read with interest “The broken brain” in Tempo. If it is true that you are your brain, then my 16-year-old son, who was injured three years ago, is nobody. How I wish that my son’s catastrophic brain hemorrhage had occurred before 1993. Then he wouldn’t have survived. Sometimes doctors don’t save lives, they only prolong meaningless existence.
