Olsen, 75, of Lake Forest, died Jan. 4, 2004 at Lake Forest Hospital, husband of Blanche Briggs Olsen; father of William (Phyllis) Olsen of Wake Forest, N.C., Lucy Olsen of Lake Forest, Janet (James) Enstrom of Park City, Jane Schaefer of Park City and the late David Olsen; grandfather of five; son of the late Roy and Lucille Olsen; brother of Jane McCormick, Marguerite Pignatari and Donna Gernenz. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lake Forest Fire Department, Paramedic Fund, 255 W. Deerpath, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Visitation from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 7, at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Avenue, Lake Forest where the funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8.
