Adeline Potempa, nee Slawinski, age 87, late of Midlothian, Jan. 5, 2004, beloved wife of the late Roman Potempa Sr.; loving mother of Roman (Sarah), Stanley (late Dr. Nancy), James “Mo” (Sheila), Joseph (Joann) and Mary Potempa; proud grandmother of nine Potempas and five Squardos; dear sister to Joseph (late Ann), Peter (Jean) Slawinski, the late Helen (late George) Cook, Casimir Slawinski and Estelle (late Paul) Joschko; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law of Stanley “Corky” Potempa; preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Katherine Slawinski. Raised in Crestwood, Adeline had been a resident of Midlothian since 1976. In her later years she was active in many Seniors groups in the area. She was a member of St. Christopher Parish since its beginning and involved in various parish organizations and activities. Funeral Wednesday 9:30 a.m. from The Hickey Memorial Chapel, 4201 W. 147th St., Midlothian, to St. Christopher Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Benedict Cemetery.
