Peter A. Anast, Veteran WWII Army, beloved husband of Helen, nee Shizas; loving father of Philip (Eleni) and James (Catherine) Anast; proud grandfather of Peter Anast; devoted son of the late Anthony and Panagoula Anast; dear brother of Angelo (Vasiliki), the late George (Angeline) and Philip Anast; brother-in-law of Julie (the late Gus) Sallas, the late John, George (Frances), Nicholas (the late Joan) and Spero (Bess) Shizas; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Peter was a longtime steward of SS. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, former associate of Marshall Field’s and Co. for 26 years, and a member of Society of Kalavryta. Visitation Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Family and friends will meet Saturday morning at SS.
